Hello everyone,
I thought it was time for another TatTle to let you know where I am currently at, on the three-year storytelling odyssey which Tall and Tiny Tales has become.
I think the original Odyssey was seven years, wasn’t it? A way to go then. So far I haven’t been bewitched by nymphs in caves, battled one-eyed giants, or had my crew turned into pigs. Though the voyage has had its fair share of surprises and challenges.
As you know, Lizzy May (Tuesdays) and Tales from the Wood (Fridays, paid) are linked, in that Nan is telling her life story to Pauly, and Pauly is embarking on his own journey to adulthood at roughly the same pace. So they’ll finish in the same week.
I’m expecting them both to run to about 20 chapters, so we’re over half-way through.
After that biographical and autobiographical blast from the past, I’ll be returning to Aussie themes and settings for my next stories.
It has been fun, retracing steps on the ‘mean streets’ of Borehamwood and the leafy paths of Hampstead, but I’m missing the crash of the surf and the scent of eucalypt on the warm breeze.
That much I know. I have lots of ideas, but no clear plan yet. Hey, that’s all part of the fun, isn’t it?
Well, it is for me.
Susan and I will be spending March exploring the east coast of Tasmania in our little campervan, so don’t be surprised if a Tassie-themed story emerges at some point.
If the present stories aren’t to your taste – or you want more – just a reminder that I have a long, long backlist of free tales. You’ll find them all here:
Thank you for your continued support of Tall and Tiny Tales. Know that you are appreciated. 💛
Wishing you a peaceful and joyful festive season, wherever you may be,
